Hey Friends! I’m here with a little bit of a different post today as I wanted to show you abit of my past work that I used to be into massively before the world of stickers and planners took over. I joined the world of creativity many many moons ago, around 21 years ago (wow that makes me sound so old!).
Primarly a card maker and scrapbooker when I first discovered the one true thing that helps me to ZEN! Yep, crafting! I love it! Back in school I couldn’t draw a stick man one day I sat with pencil and paper and learnt myself through hours of endless youtube videos and how to colour with different mediums and over time I mastered many forms of artwork.
Reminising over some old artwork the other day I came across my old blog and found some of my old cards that I’d made years ago and wanted to share here just a few of what I used to make. Funny thing is I still have everything I’m a hoarder and can’t let go of any of my crafts even though it’s been over five years since I touched any card making or scrapbooking materials.
These bring back so many good memories for me, I was on the C.C.Designs Design Team for a while which I throughly enjoyed. I remember this girl being my favourite one because she was a symbol of hope.
I really do miss designing for this company, they produce so many cute stamps it was probably my most favourite design team, I still have all my stamps. Hmm I think I may have inspired myself to dig them out and use them in my art journals.
This was my first go with Copic Ciao markers with the no lines technique which I may add I’d never attempted before. Hard to believe right! My choice of art marker back then wasn’t Copics even though I since then qualified in Copic Colour Course, I’m actually a loyal Promarker fan!.
Fun fact! I loved this butterfly so much I ended up having it tattoo’d on my wrist! Dedicated crafter eh!? or just young and stupid? Well I still love it to this day.
If you follow me on instagram you would of seen me use this girly last week in one of my daily journal spreads, it was one of my favourite stamps back then, who am I even kidding?!? I loved them all and still do.
I have to apologise for the serious lack of photoshop skills back then this was like 19-21 years ago haha! and watermarks back then were basically white writing. Well, that’s all I knew how to do then.
I know this post was a bit photo heavy but I just wanted to share some of the cards I’ve made previously just so those who have been asking recently on socials get a taste of what I did and I can still do to this day I just wish I had a clone!!!
I’ll try find some of my scrap pages to share soon too!
Until then stay safe!
These are totally beautiful Carlyann thank you so much for sharing I’d love to see your recent makes! Your colouring is astounding! Xx
