PacaPost Etsy Shop!
PacaPost was one of the very first Etsy washi tape shops I ever shopped with since the whole “Bow” craze in the planner world started. The Etsy shop is based in Hong Kong and first opened in 2017. PacaPost supplies a whole array of washi tapes, postcards and now more recently planner stickers.
Paid or free?
My review today is of my latest PacaPost order, which I’ve paid for solely as a customer.
Everyone who knows me well, knows I have a weakness for anything rainbow! So when PacaPost released some of there rainbow washi collections I had to purchase some!
So from top to bottom they are: 1. Black Bow with Rainbow Foiling, 2. Mint Ice-cream with Holo Silver & Rainbow Foil and 3. White Bow with Rainbow Foiling 10mm.
Washi to me always needs rolling out to see what it looks like, I totally love the black top one, the colour doesn’t disappear or become grainy which can happen with solid colours now and again simply because washi is paper tape. I’m not actually that keen on the ice-cream one I thought the mint would be a bit bolder in all honesty, and the white is as expected.
I’ve yet to ever see a discount code for the shop shown on social media, I know you get the odd occasional one on there subscribed e-mail and usually that’s for pre-sales I think… don’t quote me!
My Personal Score
Each Shop Product I now review comes with a possible score of 100. This is determined on ten factors as below, you can find out HERE what the overall score means in my world.
Washi Quality (5 / 10) I can’t give a high score today because of the mint I really expected this to be alot bolder if I’m honest compared to there shop photo.
Foiling (10 / 10)
I’ve yet to find any faults with Pacapost’s foiling, I’ve never received a bad washi that has had any foiling defects.
Uniqueness (2 / 10)
Washi Tape is a big thing right now in the planner world and uniqueness isn’t there at the moment, Pacapost does stock some lovely unique designs such as the galaxy and rainbows however the “Bow” fever is being copied left right and center so although Pacapost’s bow is different it’s sadly not unique at the moment.
Cost of order (4 / 10)
Though I ordered through etsy, I paid £3.89 for the Mint, £2.91 for the 10mm White and £3.45 for the Black, total being £10.10 which for these types of washi tapes is pretty standard pricing but I’m a little disappointed on the Mint front being the most expensive.
Processing and Shipping Times (10 / 10)
PacaPost aims to process all orders within 3-5 working days, this means packing all the wonderful washi and then actually posting your order out to you. Obviously different things factor the length it takes to process orders so please always check Etsy for there latest shipping processing times.
I placed my order on the of 26th July 2019, it was dispatched on the 30th July 2019 (so 3 days processing total) and then I received it on the of 8th August 2019. Total number of days from ordering till my order was in my hands was 14 days, which is very good in my eyes considering it’s come from Hong Kong all the way to the UK.
Customs (5 / 10)
I have to let you all know if you are ordering from Pacapost and don’t live in Hong Kong, or for those that currently live in the EU or UK, At the moment any order over £15GBP will incur customs charges, I tend to stick to under £15 with shipping on etsy so that I don’t get the charge, which really upsets me because I would place bigger orders but I’m not giving royal mail my hard earned cash! I know that’s not Pacapost’s fault but the untracked option would be nice to have so that we can order more without the fear of the dreaded grey card!
Price of Postage and Packaging (9 / 10)
My order was received in a poly grey bag from being damaged, The cost of postage paid was £3.94 which coming from Hong Kong is what I’d expect to pay.
Presentation (10 / 10)
All my washi was in a poly bag which each individual washi was sealed with the shops logo sticker, which I think is a nice touch.
Freebies/Rewards (5 / 10)
Pacapost also sends a small 3×4″ journalling card with each order which is super cute and the odd occasional seal sticker too.
Seller/Shop Communication (8 / 10)
I once asked the shop if they would restock a certain tape that was on there website but not on the etsy shop and they kindly allowed me to purchase a different one and sent me the one I’d asked for, so there customer service is pretty good!
Overall – 68/100. (See here for breakdown of my score chart)
Over all I’m happy but i’m really let down on the mint washi in this order, I also don’t like the fact i’m limited to ordering under the customs threshold I know that’s technically not there fault but yeah I’m not sure if i’ll rebuy in the future maybe?
Thanks for stopping by today! I’d love to know what you think? Have you ordered from PacaPost before?
